August Item Drop Sign-Ups & AA Notice

Hey there, Re/Alignment! We have two things for you today: A notice regarding the Alignment Adjustment and sign-ups for the next item drop!

1 – Alignment Adjustment

Posting of the Alignment Adjustment is being delayed until this weekend. We apologize for the extra few days of waiting, but we need additional time for all of us to get our Firstforgeds' point tallies in order and to do our best to post an error-free end result.

The new post date will be the evening of Sunday, August 18th.

2 – Item Drop

There'll be a group item drop at the end of this month! However, in addition to the opportunity to request an item for your character and some special gifts for the Haven as a whole, we've got something new in store: a partnered item swap! If you indicate that you want a partner on the sign-up form, the mods will assign your character a randomly-chosen partner. Your character will receive someone else's item, and that someone else will receive your character's item. This step is entirely optional, but it's a good opportunity to get some CR with characters or muns you may not have played off of before! Note that if we have an odd number of characters signing up for the swap, someone may wind up with one of the Firstforged as their match.

If you want to sign up, please fill out the following form for each character requesting an item and post it as a reply to this entry:

If relevant, try to give us a clear idea of any unusual powers/abilities/functions the item has. Supplementary wiki links are encouraged. You may also request a surprise item chosen by the mods – but you may want to give us some parameters to work from! Do you want something they can put to a practical use, or would you be satisfied with a twelve foot tall crystal statue of Zapp Brannigan? Is it okay if we give your character something guaranteed to make them cry?) <B>Do you want a partner for this character?:</B> (Yes or no. Note that if you say yes, the partner will receive your character's item, and vice versa. When and how they exchange the items will be up to you and the other player.)

Sign-ups will run from today until Friday, August 23rd. The item drop itself will run from August 26th to September 2nd.

A final parting note: a response to the Mod Forum will be posted shortly. Expect it by the end of the week.

Character: McCrane
Item information: McCrane would like a leg, please. Ambulon sized. Ideally, he'd like a pair of legs in order to form their gestalt mode, Build Tiger, but at least one leg would be a good start!
Do you want a partner for this character?: A partner is fine, so long as he does get the leg eventually!

Character: Megatron
Item information: A physical copy of some of his earlier works of poetry/political reform.
Do you want a partner for this character?: Oh god yes, give it to the most horrible person you can think of.

Character: Skids
Item information: A box of road-flags to mark out the new roads. Bonus points if they all have little Prowl faces on them.
Do you want a partner for this character?: Nope.
