August Item Drop Sign-Ups & AA Notice

Hey there, Re/Alignment! We have two things for you today: A notice regarding the Alignment Adjustment and sign-ups for the next item drop!

1 – Alignment Adjustment

Posting of the Alignment Adjustment is being delayed until this weekend. We apologize for the extra few days of waiting, but we need additional time for all of us to get our Firstforgeds' point tallies in order and to do our best to post an error-free end result.

The new post date will be the evening of Sunday, August 18th.

2 – Item Drop

There'll be a group item drop at the end of this month! However, in addition to the opportunity to request an item for your character and some special gifts for the Haven as a whole, we've got something new in store: a partnered item swap! If you indicate that you want a partner on the sign-up form, the mods will assign your character a randomly-chosen partner. Your character will receive someone else's item, and that someone else will receive your character's item. This step is entirely optional, but it's a good opportunity to get some CR with characters or muns you may not have played off of before! Note that if we have an odd number of characters signing up for the swap, someone may wind up with one of the Firstforged as their match.

If you want to sign up, please fill out the following form for each character requesting an item and post it as a reply to this entry:

Character: Bulkhead
Item information: If I could, I'd like to request Bulkhead get his season 3 cannon.

There's not much technical given on this thing at all. But it seems like pretty much one big hand-held gun/cannon. Not sure on length, but compared to him, it's probably easily in the 5-15' range, maybe longer it's hard to tell, length wise, and probably several feet wide at least(Look at the picture for size reference, plus here's a shot of it resting against his hip as kind of a size ref too, and one more). This size guesstimate is based on me putting Bulkhead's height at around 25'. So big that he has to carry it rather than it being integrated like his other weapons, but light enough that he carries it with little issue(It's just cumbersome). He probably stores it in subspace(Seriously, it's there in one shot during battle, and completely missing the next when not in battle).

Um, it's been shown to be powerful enough to blow Vehicons(Both Fliers/seekers and grounders(not shown, but most likely)) to pieces in one shot. It's never really shown against other enemies, but it could probably do real damage to bots/cons that are larger then Vehicons. Considering it's hand held, and thus not part of Bulkhead's systems, the number of shots it can give likely depends on how much Energon is in the tank, or an alternative could be it's some how limited because it takes from his own Energon reserves. Thus he can't use it too much or it'll drain his energon.

Item information: The Dark Star Saber. The sword Megatron's forged using Dark Energon and Solus Prime's hammer. It's almost as big as Knock Out but somehow he doesn't seem to have problems carrying the thing around.

Character: Lyra Belacqua
Item information: Subtle Knife: "A tool that cuts windows between worlds and cuts easily through anything - both material and spiritual."
In the books, Lyra's traveling companion Will is the one that wields the Subtle Knife. There are no restrictions, per say, as to who can use the knife but, for the sake of the game and whatnot, I'm going to say that Lyra cannot use the knife to cut windows between worlds because she is no the true wielder of the knife. I would like her to still be able to be able to cut through anything material or spiritual, though she won't realize what the knife can do until later down the line given this object comes into the series after her pull point. Really, she's just going to see it as a great opportunity for a weapon.

Character: Rocket Raccoon
Item information: Star Lord's element gun: "A special meta-pistol capable of projecting one of the four elements (air, earth, fire and water)." Like with Smokescreen, I kind of want this just to be a slap in the face for Rocket since he has no idea what happened to his team after his pull point. Plus, the raccoon just needs more guns to tote around okay?

Character: Barricade
Item information: An Orbital Assault Carrier, of the short-ranged fighter variety. It has seats for a pilot and co-pilot and can be flown either manually or with data uplink cables. The vehicle can fly, hover, and also perch on vertical flat surfaces like a moth, and it has two firing modes - a pair of miniguns (which presumably act the way human miniguns do), and a pair of cannons that can vaporize humans and at least temporarily stall/stun Cybertronians; the cannons are never shown firing on anything else.

It will be coming directly from the Chicago battle, so it will probably need some work to get it fully working again; I'm pondering having the weapons damaged/offline when it arrives. Luckily Barricade likes big projects.

Character: Fracas
Item information: Noji! Noji is, to all appearances, just a standard (sucky) Vehicon rifle, but it's also an adorable boar made out of gun parts. He can also form an Energon Sniper rifle if Zamu and Gra ever show up, which is unlikely. He can still be an adorable gun-boar anyway.

Character: Swoop
Item information: I was thinking maybe the little yellow birds from Dinobot Island. Mostly they just chirp and fly around and do bird things like poop on Grimlock.

Character: Strelok
Item information: A Pseudodog puppy. Pseudodogs are, more or less, irradiated and mutated wolves that live in the Zone. They have a pack mentality and can be a lot of trouble for an unwary and unprepared stalker, due to how aggressive and territorial they are (and it doesn't hurt that they tend to have a pack of blind dogs that they run with). Even so, particularly wily individuals have tamed pseudodogs before, which will be much easier with this one since it's a puppy.

Character: Noisy Boy
Item information: A computer chip with Zeus's autonomy programming (as designed by Tak Mashido) on it. It will allow Noisy Boy to fight independent of any controllers/handlers, which will definitely be handy around here.

Item information: A black one-flued harpoon, well-polished and never used. It's just a couple of inches taller than Veser himself, but very light.

Item information: Frenzy-sized electric guitar. The design is basically the same as this. Shape, design, colors and all. It gets some great sound, even without speakers!

Item information: Predacon Bone
The item itself is harmless (just a fossilized robot bone - don't ask how), but Shockwave will be able to grow a full Predacon from it with enough time and a little resource gathering.

Given that he's been around for nearly a year, his lab should be more than enough to facilitate the process. As Predacons have the capacity to be sapient, how far it will be able to develop will be up to the mods. I imagine Shockwave would be interested in keeping it subservient and with animal intelligence, but maybe it develops beyond that.

Prowl's been a real prick lately, and needs something really shmoopy to remind him that he has a spark. Something related to his time on Earth or maybe his time as a detective before the War. Or maybe something else?

Item information: A massive supply of origami material for both humans and bots. Human origami material being various weights and textures of paper squares with a variety of colors, both solid and patterned, that are intended to be folded into designs for both art and practical use, ranging from 3 inches by 3 inches up to 15 inches by 15 inches, some foiled. Amount of human origami materials variable but at minimum 2000 units. Bot origami material being made of thin, pliable metal sheets that can be folded, creased, unfolded and manipulated into creation of folded designs that may perform functional or artistic uses. Colorations basic in metallic shades, amount of at least 1000 units requested, for use in sharing the art of Origami with Cybertron.

-A 'G1' hat
-A stasis pod (with/without freaky contents)
-A pair of stasis cuffs and/or set of Elite Guard restraints including cuffs and mouth clamp (wing clamps? idk)
-One or more of Soundwave's non-sentient creations (TFA Buzzzsaw, Sunder, Garboil, and Wingthing. NOTE: They have differing abilities and are wild, as opposed to domesticated, robot fauna.)
-A Ninja Gladiator retro video game
-A vial of cosmic rust
-A purple dino piñata
-A ceremonial torch and branding iron (funnier, but less canonical, if it's non-Decepticon)
-The wreck of the Twilight (with/without spider infestation or energon cache)

Item information: Surprise me. Starscream is in prison though, so I understand if he can't have one. Ideally I'd like it to be something he could use, or something that isn't completely lost on him - understanding wise.

Character: Tarn
Item information: High powered precision rifle (sniper rifle) that matches the alt mode of his buddy Vos. In fact, the gun has its own tcog, and should someone manually fiddle enough with it, it could actually transform. That said, there's nothing in it that can ever be brought to life, and where Vos's face would be, is simply empty.
