Echoes - April Plot Info & Approvals
Hello, Re/Alignment. Remember how we announced there'd be a Mini-Event based on the Lost?
It's been observed that there were others before you. Other Refugees who once tried to eke out survival in the shadows of the Firstforged, but now are Lost. Questions remain - who were they? Why are they gone? Did they simply disappear, did the Badlands call them, did they perhaps find a way home? Or perhaps something else, there's only so many things it could be but there is nothing that points to one or the other.
...but perhaps they are not so gone as first thought.
From April 7th to April 30th, Echoes of the first Refugees will be present in the Haven. These will manifest as ghost-like apparitions, going about their daily lives - scavenging in the Junk Pile, attempting to construct some building or another, chatting with one another about their new 'home' and their predicament...
In short, they act a lot like you do. However, they will be completely and totally oblivious to you and to everything else. They will not actually be building anything, they will not actually be able to open doors (passing through them as if they weren't there is another story). There will be no posts on the Link, though some may appear to be using the Devices. In fact, they will not even appear on the Devices - they will be visible 'in person' only, and even then, only for a short period of time, anywhere from the five seconds it takes to cross a room to a full minute of conversation. Their words will be faint, as if coming from a long distance, even if you're right next to them. But there will be words. Some in Cybertronian, some in English, Japanese, Orcish, Huttese - some in other languages entirely.
Players are free to note that their characters have briefly glimpsed a ghost - however, extended scenes and anything spoken by the Echoes must first be approved by the mods. Please comment here with details of any Echo you would like your character to witness (Or, if you prefer, you can request a surprise scene from us!) Please remember that canon characters may not appear in an Echo. This is to avoid setting unwanted expectations for potential future appers.
Note as well that the mods will be watching all logs during this time, whether posted in the logs comm or via action on a Link post. We may or may not offer an Echo, unannounced and unwarned...
