THE GLYPHLESS (EVENT)
The Firstforged have warned you about going too close to the badlands. They've warned you about the monsters that come out of the Lambda. They've warned you not to trust any creature who doesn't bear the mark of Primus.
What they haven't warned you about is how those creatures can be your best friends.
During the October Application period, the mods of Re-Aligned will be accepting mini-apps for 'The Glyphless.' The Glyphless can be any person from any continuity who isn't already in the game that you can play for a short-term during the month of November. They'll arrive on the junk pile with no Glyph, and for the first three weeks of their existence they'll be normal player characters, ekeing out existence on Cybertron and trying to cope with being far from home.
On the fourth week they'll go insane, gain extra abilities, and try to kill anyone and everyone in their path indiscriminately.
There are a few perks to playing a Glyphless. Their apps will be much shorter, we won't be enforcing the canon-limits rules for them, it's still okay to app AU's and OCCs, and there will be a future opportunity to bring them back into the game. This will also be a good way to show that you're capable of having an extra character, so participants will be awarded an extra character slot (to bring the max up to five) if they so chose. However, each player will only be allowed to bring in one character through the event, so consider wisely.

EVENT TIMELINE
- Beginning October 1st, we will be accepting normal game reserves and also Glyphless reserves. Any Glyphless reserves must CLEARLY be marked as 'Glyphless' in the comment header. (See 'Who can I app as a glyphless?' below for info on what will be allowed.)
- From October 15th through October 30th, Glyphless applications may be submitted along with reglar applications. Glyphless applications will be approved in the order they are submitted, but Glyphless may NOT begin posting in the game until November 1st.
- Beginning November 1st, Glyphless may enter the game! They will awaken in the junkpile with communicators (although they will have no knowledge of how they received them) and will be free to move about and exist as if they are normal player characters. The Firstforged's reactions will range from wary to intollerant to openly hostile, and all Glyphless will not be permitted to enter the temples (if they're caught.)
- From November 20th to November 25th, the Glyphless will begin going insane. They may succumb to their worst desires suddenly, or find themselves slipping slowly and traumatically over this time. By the 25th, all Glyphless will have become uncontrollable disaster machines with enhanced strength, speed, and power, causing havoc in whatever way is natural to them. Previous alliances and friendships will not matter, they will seek to attack or harm whoever crosses their path. They may retain some of their personality and they may still be capable of speech, but no amount of convincing will get through to them, and they will be relentless in their need for chaos and distruction.
- By November 30th, all Glyphless will have been either disposed of by the other Refugees or eliminated by the Firstforged.

WHO CAN I APP?
Just about anyone!
The normal canon limits will not apply (IE yes, you can app that other character from IDW), and Alternate Universe characters or Obscure Canon Characters will be allowed (though more heavily scrutinized). All other standing character limitations will be as they are now.
Please note, however, that you may only app one Glyphless into this event.

HOW DO I APP A GLYPHLESS?
When Reserves go up on October 1st, a new, shorter Glyphless app will become available on the applications page as well. This application will have a few differences to the standard application, mostly in that we'll be requiring less information in order to expedite the process on both ends.
The Glyphless app will still need a history link or summary, but the summary may be shorter and more generalized. The personality section will count the most, and will need to be the strongest part of the app with at least several paragraphs (as normal.) However, the powers section and inventory need only be a basic list without many modifiers, and you only have to do the first person sample to show us how the character will be played.
The one addition onto the app will be in the powers section, where we'll be looking for the 'modified' powers that your Glyphless will have when they finally go crazy. You can either mark currently existing powers to enhance, or you can make a separate list of powers that they'd gain. Obviously, try to keep this within reason. (IE Gaining super strength would be okay, but gaining a planet-destroying mega-cannon would not be.)

WHAT GOODIES DO I GET?
As thanks for helping us out and playing a Glyphless, you'll be awarded an additional permanent character slot. For most players, this will bring the total number of allowed characters up to five.
In addition, your Glyphless character may be re-apped with all of their memories of Re-Aligned in six months time, for our event 'The Return.' This can occur regardless of the normal limits on characters per canon (to let you have two from a living canon, or three from a finished canon), though obviously not if that character has since been apped into the game.

There are some people who already have two characters from a 'living' canon as per the original rules. What if someone does a Glyphless from the same canon? Are they still rewarded the ability to app the character again in six months (assuming they still have the two characters still in that time) or no?
