Hey, Re/Alignment! My name is Straya and I'm bringing in Rex Salazar, the main protagonist of the series Generator Rex. I've played alongside some of you before and others, well, I'm still playing alongside elsewhere!

A few things about the kid here for those unfamiliar with his canon...

In terms of powers, he's kind of a complicated little bugger. Like almost everyone else from his world, he's swarming with microscopic machines called nanites. In Rex's case, they're active, making him an EVO and giving him a set of rather nifty super powers. One of these powers may or may not concern the natives a bit, so let's get right to that.

Rex is a technopath. His power works only through touch and the R/A mods have deemed that his technopathy will work on characters in game. He can do a wide variety of things with this power, including basic communication, hacking, reprogramming, motor function command overrides, etc. etc. The mods have suggested that I get a permissions post up for that and if it's something that would be good for you all, I'll see what I can whip up. My usual method of handling Rex's technopathy in other places/games is to ask permission on a case by case basis, since what it can be used for and how far it can go may vary (plus there's potentially the will vs. will scenario that can come up when dealing with sentient mechanical life forms). The other reassurance I can offer here is that once Rex is aware that he's dealing with sentient, living machines, he won't use his technopathy on them unless he has IC permission or unless some extreme situation calls for it. (He has major issues regarding brainwashing/mind control due to certain events in his canon. A firm believer in the freedom of choice, Rex won't try to take that away from others unless it's very necessary, in which case I'm all for plotting beforehand.)

And for the organic sorts... As a nanite carrier, Rex is also contagious. (Boy, he's a fun one, isn't he?) Fortunately, by word of mod, the only way to pick up nanites off an infected is through body fluids, such as in the cases of wound-to-wound contact, getting blood in the eyes, etc etc. He's a tough kid and he doesn't bleed easily, but just a heads up on that! (And I'll probably get a post together in his journal on nanites, how they cause mutations and how Rex's cure ability works because it's complicated and the more info there is, the better.)
