Upcoming Events!
So we're about to enter our third month, and we have got some events in store for you and for your characters! Please enjoy our crappy internet graphics as we proceed into the...

Coming up from September 9th through the 16th will be our first event involving the powers of the Firstforged!
Unbeknownst to the residents of our primordial Cybertron, a book from Alpha Trion's personal library has gone missing. Even worse, the pages seem to have been removed, and perhaps even worse, he hasn't noticed yet.
So what does this mean for your characters?
Havoc, of course.
On the 8th, every character who wants to participate will find a blank page of proportionate size lying around randomly somewhere on their daily routine. This page will seem to call out to them subtly, prompting them to write on it or draw on it or be creative with it in some way. They might want to write a letter, a journal entry, or a short story. They might want to draw a self-portrait, or a picture of their imaginary friend. Either way, anyone who puts 'pen' to paper will, for the event's duration, find their lives drastically changed...
How this works
Use the text box below to sign your characters up by replying to this post. There will be only one page given to each character, but you may sign up every character you have if you wish!
Rules:
The last day for submissions will be midnight central time, September 7th. If you want, on the 8th they may make a post about their find, and on the 9th...?
Well, that is when things will get exciting.
The mods will post a reply to each submission below on the 8th and 9th, letting you know what your character's week will be like based on what was put down on the page. At that point, feel free to make posts/logs/etc dealing with the fallout.
Alpha Trion, meanwhile, will be attempting to collect the pages and set things to rights. By the 15th, he'll have collected all the pages, and things will have returned to normal!
During October, we will also have a small-scale 'haunting' event (with more info to come later) in preparation for November's large event...
The Glyphless
The Firstforged have warned you about going too close to the badlands. They've warned you about the monsters that come out of the Lambda. They've warned you not to trust any creature who doesn't bear the mark of Primus.
What they haven't warned you about is how those creatures can be your best friends.
During the October Application period, the mods of Re-Aligned will be accepting mini-apps for 'The Glyphless.' The Glyphless can be any person from any continuity who isn't already in the game that you can play for a short-term during the month of November. They'll arrive on the junk pile with no Glyph, and for the first three weeks of their existence they'll be normal player characters, ekeing out existence on Cybertron and trying to cope with being far from home.
On the fourth week they'll go insane, gain extra abilities, and try to kill anyone and everyone in their path indiscriminately.
There are a few perks to playing a Glyphless. Their apps will be much shorter, we won't be enforcing the canon-limits rules for them, it's still okay to app AU's and OCCs for this event, and there might be a future opportunity to bring a character back into the game, depending. This will also be a good way to show that you're capable of having an extra character, so participants will be awarded an extra character slot (to bring the max up to five) if they so chose. However, each player will only be allowed to bring in one character through the event, so consider wisely.
More information on this will be coming soon, but feel to ask questions below if you have any!
~~~~~~
SETTINGS ADDITIONS
As a FINAL note, now that we've got building materials there have been a number of new structures starting to surface across the face of Cybertron! If you've recently built something or set up a makeshift lab/clinic/lemonade stand in one of the Firstforged temples, head on over to the World Page and fill out the text box near the top! Making a comment on that entry will ensure your new location gets added to our world, which will give our new characters more places to explore!
How this works
Use the text box below to sign your characters up by replying to this post. There will be only one page given to each character, but you may sign up every character you have if you wish!
Rules:
- Your character may write up to 1000 words of text, or draw up to three pictures.
- This must be in character. A Megatron, for instance, wouldn't suddenly be drawing pictures of fuzzy kittens (unless he'd recently stepped on some) and Optimus Prime (probably) wouldn't write emo poetry. Be creative, but keep it within the range of likelihood!
- Be aware OOCly that what you're writing will have a direct impact on your character during the event. This will be different for each person (we'd like to surprise you a little, after all!) but don't have your character write or draw something that makes YOU uncomfortable, as you'll be the one dealing with it.
- Keep all writing/drawing/descriptions of drawing within the game's rating limits, and BE SURE TO WARN for anything rated in the field provided.
- If your Page affects a character that has not fully signed up (insomuch to find a Page themselves), we ask that you have them post under your comment giving OOC permission!
QUESTIONS
Re: QUESTIONS
There's the potential to bring back the character you brought in as a Glypless? Or could you bring in another character (from that same canon) after the Glypless event?
And whomever the Glyphless character is, can that character still be apped in as a player into the game after the Glypless event?
Re: QUESTIONS
Hi I'm late thinkin of this question
In my case I'm asking because the new school year, and my last one, is starting soon, and I don't plan on apping more (permanent) characters during that time. So, in that case would the spot still be there when I had the time to add a character, or would I basically just have the fun of the event and miss out on actually getting the spot?
Re: QUESTIONS
Toy-bio versions (repaints) of a character seen unaltered in fiction count as obscure canon characters? OR would they be a kind of canon AU, because their bio indicates some equally canonical divergence. You know, like Elite Guard Bumblebee or Blazing Lockdown.
MISSING PAGES SIGN-UPS
Medium used on page: Ink. He stole pens and pencils from the Home Depot, the jerk.
Warnings for Content: None.
What they do with the page: PLANS FOR THINGS. He will doodle overevery inch, writing math, equations, and then various form of items he's yet to build but wants to... and in one tiny corner, start to doodle Roxanne, and than scribble her out.
Limits: None! I'm pretty sure nobody' going to write anything about Megamind anyway.
Medium used on page: Ink.
Warnings for Content: None.
What they do with the page: He practices calligraphy. Cybertronian glyphs. Why not?
Limits: Nope! He should be be fine.
Medium used on page: Blood
Warnings for Content: BLOOD?
What they do with the page: She often needs to purge the marker-glyphs that crowd her mind by writing them down. During episodes she will write with whatever is available, yes even her own blood. The glyphs are instructions on how to make a Marker. What she could fit on the page would not make a whole Marker, only a small fragment. I.e. it is not complete.
Limits: None!
Medium used on page: Laser printer (burnt in using a laser from his finger)
Warnings for Content: None
What they do with the page:
A quick little sketch of "the family" here in R/A (aka, himself and Wheeljack standing with Miko, Kay and Raf on their shoulders), meant for Miko as a thank you for her medbay art. And then, I suppose it'll disappear before he remembers to give it to her ... ?
Limits: Please don't kill Ratchet, but outside of that, do what you will c:
Medium used on page: Acrylic paint he's found around in the junkpile.
Warnings for Content: None!
What they do with the page: Most definitely working out song lyrics. Teddie told Soundwave he should try to actually compose something for himself. It'll start off very cheerful and inspiring, but towards the end, it'll sadly degrade into random words that have no lyrical sense and cryptically has something to do with a "madness inside" (this has to do with THAT ONE TIME he tried to hack SG!Optimus Prime's processor back in Axiom and it almost backfired; Prime's taint has stuck with him since, Soundwave just generally keeps it to himself and doesn't make a fuss about it). Realizing what he's writing, Soundwave will try to cross it all out and get back to work on his more pleasant song about "conquering the impossible" and never giving up.
Limits: Most definitely!
Medium used on page: SPRAYPAINT, HE'S A DELINQUENT.
Warnings for Content: None!
What they do with the page: Really stupid catchphrases in English. Things like I LOVE YOU BABY and THE END as well as ENGLAND SUCKS and BITE ME and YOU ARE AS COOL AS A POTATO. Because Engrish.
Limits: Yes, definitely okay.
Re: MISSING PAGES SIGN-UPS
Medium used on page: the blood of his enemies. Uh, I mean, probably the icky ichor of something he killed. Whirl's classy like that.
Warnings for Content: Whirl.
What they do with the page: Whirl will draw the following stick figures, very crude:
Fortress Maximus on fire with about a dozen rounds aiming straight for his head and hopefully screaming. Lots of explody lines in the background.
Ambulon getting attacked by an acid-spewing human, looking TERRIFIED, and a helicopter swooping in for a rescue (that copter is, of course, Whirl).
A gunsight/targeting reticle focused on what is apparently supposed to be Perceptor's (IDW but hey they both look the same kinda) aft.
And above this, in SURPRISINGLY ornate and swirly illuminated calligraphy (hey, watches got engraved, okay?) 'Whirl is the hero'.
Limits: Nothing permanent but it's all good.
Medium used on page: Oil, with an old car antenna as the stylus; he's going old-school.
Warnings for Content: None.
What they do with the page: Most of what he ends up writing are snatches of Cybertronian poetry he remembers from before the war (that mostly deal with the clan feuds from before he was hatched, in the same vein as poetry composed during the civil war), along with half a diagram of a set of built-in thrusters in his legs that he designed and never implemented, and a (mostly) accurate doodle of his fire lizard, Rumble.
Limits: No limits here!
Blurr
Medium used on page: Ink and color pencil from the store
Warnings for Content: Evil mechs?
What they do with the page: SG Soundwave, SG Megatron and Cliffjumper mentioned to Blurr that in their reality he's one of the bad guys and Blurr has been wondering how his other self might be since then. Starscream even mentioned that "Your world's Autobots are lucky you're not a Decepticon."
So, what's Blurr going to do once he finds the page? Start Sketching how he pictures himself in the SG universe, of course. And also how Ratchet and Wing would look.
He's going to draw these three pictures: Evil Ratchet, Evil Wing and himself (The official picture for the Vortex Blurr is this one)
Limits: Nothing! I'm okay with everything ever.
Medium used on page: Dinosaur claw + oil
Warnings for Content: None
What they do with the page: Dinobot will most scrawl out Shakespearean soliloquies, lines lifted from Hamlet, Macbeth, and the Temptest, sort of philosophical musings on time and the consequences if Beast Wars Megatron ever found this place.
Limits: Nope, no limits.
Medium used on page: Pen
Warnings for Content: He's a disney character :|
What they do with the page: Don't know exactly yet, but probably a few card readings done for himself, and possibly some notes on a new reading layout system based on the properties of the Firstforged as he understands them (eg, X position is one for things you know, Y position is for something holding you back/that you feel you need to rebel against...)
Limits: HA HA feel free to torment Lux
Medium used on page: Ink. Calligraphy ink.
Warnings for Content: NONE. Just sap.
What they do with the page:
He's just going to fill the entire page with ~*MEMORIES*~. Important memories, stupid little memories. Most of them center around his past and the most important person in his entire existence (Shadowmaru), but if anyone he has CR with wants to be included, I am down for that. The page is basically just Kagerou dumping his databanks onto paper, as another means of preserving them. And... it all looks like this: とんでもない漢字を書く。
Limits: None! I'm good with whatever!
Medium used on page: A cybertronian-sized pen found with the Home Depot.
Warnings for Content: Nothing.
What they do with the page: Several pretty detailed sketches of various possible altmodes that would accomodate her current frame design, the majority of them leaning towards clear hover capability. Plus, on the reverse side, a goofy little sketch of (Classics) Grimlock and Springer with this written between those two figures; "Miss you all." Underneath which the names of the crew of the Graviton (Grimlock, Ultra Magnus, Springer, Huffer, Snarl, Swoop, Strongarm and Tyrannitron) are all written.
Limits: Nothing permanent, preferably nothing too terrible physically or mentally, and I'll.. probably be fine with it if someone includes Elita anywhere.
Character Name + Universe: Cliffjumper | TF: Classics/SG
Medium used on page: Spraypaint.
Warnings for Content: Um... stick-figure violence?
What they do with the page: The whole page's just a lot of kind of sloppy cybertronian equivalent of stick-figure drawings of SG!Prime being killed. Exploded, his head shot off by Cliffjumper using his rifle, crushed underneath the Ark...
Limits: Depends on what way he'd be affected, and nothing permanent.
Re: MISSING PAGES SIGN-UPS
Medium used on page: Paint he managed to salvage with a chunk of rock that will work as a crude stylus.
Warnings for Content: None.
What they do with the page: Ambulon will be drawing the Cybertronian equivalent to an Audi R8. In your typical, barely readable doctor chickenscratch, he will have notes with arrows pointing to various spots on the car. Such as 'orange' with arrows pointing to highlight certain patches on the car, and 'red' with arrows pointing to other spots. Basically, giving the color scheme; the only paint he has is green, alas. The concept is a stylish, sleek car, but Ambulon's not exactly very artistic, so uh, it doesn't come off nearly as stylish or sleek as he hoped. This is obviously the alt mode design he desires (but I assume can't have because he's got a weird t-cog thing goin' on.)
Limits: I'm perfectly okay with anything, just as long as it doesn't result in death or anything that can't be relatively repaired, lol.
What they do with the page: The page will be filled with an overly long monologue of why he should be leader of the Decepticons and of the entire universe.
Limits: No limits!
Medium used on page: Ink
Warnings for Content: None.
What they do with the page: Writes the Sith Code in the Sith Language
Peace is a lie, there is only passion.
Through passion, I gain strength.
Through strength, I gain power.
Through power, I gain victory.
Through victory, my chains are broken.
The Force shall free me.
Limits: None.
MISSING PAGES SIGN-UPS
Medium used on page: Spraypaint for details.
Warnings for Content: None
What they do with the page: Writing isn't Wheeljack's thing, so he's gonna make it into a super sweet paper airplane.
Limits: As long as it doesn't conflict with Ratchet's page, it's good!
Re: MISSING PAGES SIGN-UPS
Re: MISSING PAGES SIGN-UPS
Medium used on page: ink and brush
Warnings for Content: violence/death/murder
What they do with the page:
Dear Tarrlok,
I should've killed you.
[crumples up the paper and throws it away, frustrated and angry]
Limits: none that I can think of
Medium used on page: Paint from the old junkpile
Warnings for Content: Nada
What they do with the page: A journal entry with various notes of what he's found so far on Cybertron, scientific notes, a small, short handish sort of map of the temple he's in. Using as much space as he can.
Limits: No limits!
