Character Introductions and Plotting post!

Gooood evening everybody!

The official opening start time for Re/Alignment will be June 21st, 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific. (For those across the globe, feel free to poke us in here for clarification on this.)

Since this is less than two days away, we're putting up this post for everyone to introduce their characters in, and maybe start plotting who will be waking up next to or on top of whom! Will there be fights breaking out over the choicest pieces of junk on the junk pile? Medics trying to remove the mysterious glyphs? Problems understanding Japanese/Cybertronian before communicators are given out?

Korra arrives in a very bad way.

...Bad me, but I forgot to mention in my app that she'll be hurt from her last fight! It didn't seem serious, but she's like all scratched up on her arms and face, some of her clothes are ripped.

Anyway, last thing Korra remembers is fighting Tarrlok, then he bent her blood, forcing her into submission, then stuffed her into the back of a Satomobile and threatened to take her somewhere no one would ever find her--so, essentially, Korra was just kidnapped.

And now she's woken up in a very strange place and is pretty much all "WTF TARRLOK WHERE THE HELL DID YOU TAKE ME AUGH." Given that she has elemental powers she will literally breathe fire and start small earthquakes in her rage, and if there's any water nearby, that will go crazy too, like giant waves or rapid shifts between jagged ice and back again to liquid. So Korra may look kinda totally terrifying to random passerby, especially those her size. She might only unnerve larger Cybertronians/robots, if only because the fire she's generating is getting rather big and her veritable earthquakes are getting rather intense.

If no one stumbles upon her elemental outburst, Korra will eventually calm down and stalk around, trying to figure out where the hell she is and how to get back to Republic City.

Also, Korra will utterly freak out at the first robot she sees and will probably attack first, ask questions later.

In her world, the first thing Korra saw that was close to being a robot was something that was trying to hurt her, hence her immediate aggression at the sight of something similar. But if she sees a downed robot making pained noises, she'll probably hesitate and think its pilot is trapped and hurt--because the only robots Korra has dealt with were piloted by humans. Korra has no idea about AI or robots with minds of their own.

Korra will be super shocked when she finds that none of the robots have human pilots in them, yet they can still talk, and they have more human features. She'll probably then think they're like spirits, something that is a very real possibility her world. This will probably excite her, since as the Avatar, Korra is supposed to be able to commune with spirits, but she has never done so before. Korra will then just think she's in the spirit world now and treat creatures she's never known before as sprits, unless informed otherwise.

Korra, from now and then you can only drink decaf.

Blurr's first encounter with a human wasn't exactly stellar (he was forced to participate into illegal car races and couldn't speak of transform, being stuck in car mode) if he sees her doing all that crazy bending he will truly believe that all adult humans are nutcases.

By the way~~~ the robots have lubricant inside them to help them function, would she be able to bend those with her waterbender powers? Or just the earth bender powers are enough for her to control the robot's movement?

Maybe Korra can still count as an adolescent? ;)

If it's a water-based lubricant or it contains any water, she can probably manipulate/bend it.

Canon has yet to show if Korra can metalbend, but she has the potential for it. She might slowly really learn to do it while on Cybertron, with metal all around. But it depends on how much minerals of earth are in the metal. Like, if the metal's really pure, if it has no or barely any earth minerals in it, she can't bend it (in her world, platinum is like pure metal, and unbendable).

Yes~ He will warm up to humans quickly, I think. He had no problem with Sari :3

I'm quite sure Blurr needs to use coolant so his system doesn't overheat when he runs like a mad mad and coolant is a water-based liquid. He's really hard to catch, but I think that she could slow him down using that.

I had no idea that metal-bending depended on the minerals, that's cool.

Yep, I like how the show gave metalbending limits that make sense. Like, metalbending is the master form of earthbending. Toph in the first series discovered earthbending when locked into a metal box. Toph's senses are amazing and she was already a master earthbender, so she like used the vibrations and found there was enough earth minerals inside metal for her to bend. In Korra's series, we see the logical limit to that, if metal is refined/purified enough, there's not enough earth minerals to bend and the metal can't be manipulated.

Should be interesting having Sari around. I'm guessing she shows up some point after realizing she's Cybertronian? I'll have to check.

Oh yes, Optimus even has a negative friction lubricant weapon. I wish I was kidding.

There's a guy in the show called Nanosec that used a special suit to run like hell and commit crimes. Optimus spilled negative friction lubricant all over the road so Nanosec's wheels couldn't move properly. Basically it does the opposite of normal lubricant.

Optimus spills all sort of liquids in this show: lubricant, foam, water....he's a fire truck in Animated

I have to check to see if this RP has a Megatron and an Optimus at all.

He'll very much appreciate the fact that she's a human who doesn't need protection, though... and if he finds out that her water-bending can heal humans, he's going to want to try to see what makes that tick so let's be friends :D

I think Korra might be a little relieved to see that the spirits can lose it too. XD

Now I kinda see Ratchet trying to recruit Korra as a healer for Raf, LOL. But it'd be cool if the waterbending healing came up. Like Korra found water to heal her cuts and Ratchet saw her do that and was all intrigued. Yes, let's ^_^ I think Ratchet might remind Korra vaguely of a cross between Lin Bei Fong and Tenzin

Oh man, Ratchet can lose it with the best of them... and he's going to be having a huge tantrum at some point, given all the stresses building up in this new environment :D;;;

XD Oh he will definitely recruit her as a healer. A water source is going to be one of the first things he's going to search, given Raf's needs, so they could quite possibly meet around one of those? Ratchet and Lin would probably be the best of bros. Ever.

Sounds like a common goal--Korra would need water for sustenance too besides bending ability for combat/defense/healing. Team-up search party? Ratchet + Lin = BFF.

(Though I really do hope down the line some LoK players join in. Korra will totally glomp them. I would really love a Tarrlok for Korra to lose it over. And if any AtLA characters joined in, time travel hijinks. Ohman, an Aang player would be great.)

I can't really help you in that regard, but it'd be cool to see more panfandom representing after the initial robot surge XD

Ah yeah, I had Korra pulled into this new world at like the worst possible moment.

LOL, well, nella and I were talking about Korra meeting up with Knock Out. At first Korra thinks he's a mecha with its human pilot hurt and trapped and she tries to help him out, only to realize what KO really is. At some point Korra should earthbend all the dirt off and out of Knock Out's injuries, and hopefully KO will think it's in his best interest to get Korra on his side, so he'll act as a guide for her. And there was talk about Korra and Ratchet looking for water together (Ratchet wants to find water for Raf).

Ha, she won't be the only that gets pulled across mid-battle.

Saeru had a cool idea for McCrane and Wing but Wing needs someone to rescue/help. I don't know that there's anyone left to rescue really. Though he might be the person she attacks first and asks questions of later, which could be just as amusing in the above scenerio. XD

Just fishing around for ideas. If you want KO to be the first Cybertronian she meets that's cool. ^_^
