Character Introductions and Plotting post!

Gooood evening everybody!

The official opening start time for Re/Alignment will be June 21st, 8pm Eastern/5pm Pacific. (For those across the globe, feel free to poke us in here for clarification on this.)

Since this is less than two days away, we're putting up this post for everyone to introduce their characters in, and maybe start plotting who will be waking up next to or on top of whom! Will there be fights breaking out over the choicest pieces of junk on the junk pile? Medics trying to remove the mysterious glyphs? Problems understanding Japanese/Cybertronian before communicators are given out?

Jump in and find out~

Can't wait to see those fireworks. XD

Sounds like a common goal--Korra would need water for sustenance too besides bending ability for combat/defense/healing. Team-up search party? Ratchet + Lin = BFF.

(Though I really do hope down the line some LoK players join in. Korra will totally glomp them. I would really love a Tarrlok for Korra to lose it over. And if any AtLA characters joined in, time travel hijinks. Ohman, an Aang player would be great.)

's gonna be terrible

Yes! And I'm sure that with a little ingenuity and metal-bending assistance, they could create some sort of moisture condenser/collector to keep water closer to home? c:

I can't really help you in that regard, but it'd be cool to see more panfandom representing after the initial robot surge XD

Do you have a specific trigger planned out, or will he just snap?

It could be a chance for Korra to really learn metalbending. It's possible she could metalbend, but canon's never shown it, so I'm beginning to think Korra doesn't exactly know the super master forms of bending (metalbending, lightningbending, definitely not bloodbending). Do you happen to know if most of the metal on Cybertron contains a significant amount of earth minerals? Because metalbending does have its limits, it depends on the amount of earth minerals inside metal; if the metal's too purified, with no or barely any earth minerals, no bender can manipulate it.

But yeah, that moisture condenser/collector sounds cool.

I want to try advertising the RP to LoK fandom later.

*g* I'm going to play that by ear, I think. I know that he's going to come in frazzled, then bottle that up in order to care for the people who he feels need protecting, but how long all the bottled up stress takes to explode out... is up in the air c:

Hmm. I think that depends on how you define "earth". See, the thing is, I'm assuming that earth-bending involves materials that are made of carbon or silicates... but there's also calcarious stone, which is mostly made of calcium. Given that coal is also bendable by earthbenders, that leads me to believe that they can bend rock that's made of things that were once alive and, therefore, have that remaining capacity to channel chi. If that's the case, then Cybertron probably has relatively little impure metal... but they do have metal that was once truly alive. It could be an interesting thing to play with if you have some time to poke it? c:

If you want to keep it simple, though, there should be plenty of silica parts and are also metals and things that have fallen in through the Lambda that she should have no trouble bending? c:

I'm up for experimenting with earthbending in this new place.

Oh, but that's a good thing to remember, the Lambda drops useful things too.

ETA: Nice analysis of earthbending BTW.

So far planning with automobile_enthusiast to have Knock Out as the first Cybertronian Korra meets, like after Knock Out untangles from Ratchet. :) So any interaction between Korra and the medics later should be interesting, to say the least. X)
