Mod Apology, Rule Clarification, and Forum
This is a formal apology from the mod team for events that transpired today and for the ambiguity in some of our app rules.
We did not check to see if two characters had interacted in their canon when we gave the okay for a player to app the second in game. Although we do not police reserves for eligibility, we *do* want to strive to make it clear to our players what can and cannot be apped if we are asked, and in this case we failed to do this. We're going to work on improving communications between mods and players so that in the future this will not happen again.
Because of the confusion in the current wording of the canon-interaction rule, we are going to be amending it to say 'you may not play any characters that interact with each other in their canon.' While this does limit some applications, it also takes out the ambiguity so that mods and players won't have to make any judgement calls on what a 'significant' amount of interaction is. Hopefully, this should make the application process smoother.
Also, in order to encourage mod-player communication we will be opening up a bi-monthly (once every two months) 'game forum,' where players will be able to make suggestions about anything ranging from rules to plot ideas. Anon will be enabled so long as comments are kept civil and on-subject (IE we'll delete anything inflammatory, player-specific, or about non-game issues.) This will be a place for everyone to pitch in and help make R/A what you want it to be.
Thanks as always for being patient with us, and if there are any discrepancies that you encounter don't hesitate to bring them to us. We make mistakes, but we'd like to amend them when we do.
