Late Information/Permissions Post
Hey all! I know that earlier, Ratchet offered to scan anyone who was interested, in order to get some initial records of what their structures were like for any future repairs. Instead of doing a log, I figure we can handwave those interactions, but I'd still like a record of who Ratchet's got "blueprints" for, and who doesn't. Leave me a note here if you want a check-up to have happened, and if there's any limits on what Ratchet can know (aka: does your bot have a secret ability thing that Ratchet shouldn't have picked up with his dinky scanner?) let me know about that too!
Thanks guys!

Okay, that came out wrong.
or did it?Drift's systems might seem a bit more like Wing's than other IDW mechs--he got pretty much a complete rebuild in Crystal City. He's had a makeover since then, but the base components might still seem a little...odd.
He has no secret abilities. Though the Great Sword might. But this response is weird enough already without talk of Handling Drift's HUGE Sword.

Similar to Drift his frame and systems are different since he's from New Crystal City and the technology has progressed separately from the core of the Cybertronian race. Wing's build is not new however, and since Ratchet is a smart guy he'll probably make the connection that Wing has some tech that is previous gen compared to Drift's.
He has nothing else that's special, aside from the Great Sword... Though I wonder now if it's possible to detect the spark energy within the blades? That might throw Ratchet for a loop.

He does have the immortal spark ala G1 cartoon, but its never come up. His "genetics" might be slightly different but I don't think anything noticeable. The Autobots didn't seem to notice anything when Ratchet was pulling out a piece of his arm for Starscream's energy signature in the comics.
Other than that I don't think he has anything really different from any other TF.

He wants you to be fully aware of what the BP systems are like, so he'd have let you look over anything and EVERYTHING, particularly pointing out his fifth generation Fahrzeugronne computer: his AI unit which looks like a cassette tape.
Obviously, the Earth-made robots will be far simpler than anything Cybertronian, which...is probably a good thing. He'll be really easy to repair, provided parts can be obtained, and he's built with easy access points since it was humans working on him before. Upgrading his engines might be the more difficult part, but since he's essentially a crane that transformers, taking it out and putting in a new one won't be the end of the world--not much more difficult than replacing a car's engine.
Most interesting thing of note about McCrane is that he's a combiner. He has three modes--Robot, Crane, and also giant torso with head. Obviously he can't do much with that other mode here, but it would be something Ratchet doesn't see so often.
McCrane is also very familiar with his own specs, so he'd be able to answer any question asked, and would also be interested in discussing your profession with you. I'd find that fun to play out, some time?

Barricade will be willing to hand over his specs and his repair records for the last two years. All of his armor was replaced in 2010 and he had to rebuild his legs from the knees down recently (around March/April-ish). His formal blueprints include the modifications that were done to allow him to host Frenzy as a symbiont.
... That being said, Ratchet might want to do a scan of him in addition, since he might have erased evidence of the two data uplink cables (as iconned) in the backs of his shoulders from his blueprints. By which I mean he definitely erased those from his blueprints. The lying liar.
