This post is to mark the official opening of the re_alignment COMMUNITY for Link network communications!

By now, many characters have talked with their Firstforged and gotten an idea of what is going on, or been invited back to their temples to avoid junk-land fun-times. If they're amenable, the Firstforged will have ordered an Acolyte install the Link Network Communication + Translation software into any mechanoid that has communications capability, or will have given your character an i-phone like device that serves the same functions.

Even if you have not talked to a Firstforged yet or if your character is not the sort to do so, you may assume that one of their Acolytes has hunted you down and installed/given a communicator to you. If you're the sort of character that won't take such a device willingly and would like to work something else out, just leave a comment below!

Otherwise, you are free to make posts!

Find out who else is in the junk pile, talk amongst yourself about how strange this all is, discuss which Firstforged you'll be going home with or if you'd rather stay in junk-land for a while! The Firstforged will allow you time to decide before taking you back with them, or you may assume your character has already been taken back by an Acolyte if they're ready to go right away! Feel free to check out the Gameplay FAQ if you're looking for ideas on what to post about or else what is going on.

IN OTHER NEWS, if you havn't done so already, please make sure to post to the Taken and Player Contact pages! We'll be re-opening Reserves on JULY 1st and would like to have those ready by then. We'll also be checking then to make sure everyone has their applications and HMDs up in their journals, so this is also a reminder to do that if you have not done so! (There is a good journal on how to make an anon-enabled, non-tracking HMD post here! An example of an HMD post can be found here! Note that we don't require anon/tracking to be allowed, this option is up to you.)

What is Megatronus Prime's Quadrant like? I couldn't find a description for it.

Also, do you have to make contact with Megatronus Prime or one of his acolytes in-game to enter his temple? Or can I assume that happened? Also, what does it mean exactly to enter his temple? Does even that mean my character's making a committment to him, or does he just let anyone bearing his mark live there without any strings attached?

I'll answer the rest of the questions more generally here, in case anyone else had similar ones.

Generally, the Firstforged's temples are simply very large, many many roomed buildings in which they and their acolytes happen to live. Easiest comparison would be like a skyscraper complex or corporate headquarters, where there can be lots of little buildings all annexed to one large one, and the whole conglomerate is collectively referred to as their temple.

Taking a room up in someone's temple does not mean you're committed to them, thankfully~ It does give you a stronger attachment to that particular Firstforged, which, if you're looking to switch alignment, might be a useful tactic to use.

Generally, any characters can travel into any Firstforged's temples. There are plenty of public spaces in them, with each person's quarters being locked to only them for privacy. (Keep an eye out, though, some technologically savvy characters might try to hack those--with permission, of course.)

Feel free to assume that you've gotten in touch with an Acolyte, who can bring you back to any of the temples when you're ready!

Out of curiosity, is the significance of the marks on characters' arms known at this point or no?

If you talked about it with a Firstforged, definitely! If not, and your character is the type to have asked, the Acolytes would explain the basics.

I know that the drones can be asked questions and duped a little. But can they be roped into preforming tasks for the characters? And about how many does an individual First Forged have?

The Acolytes will likely do very basic things for those Aligned to their Firstforged. However, we're talking basic, and only if they don't have prior instructions from the Firstforged.

The number does vary, but it wouldn't be strange to say dozens of them.

Juuuust confirming, but it's okay for a Cybertronian character to refuse the software installation and take a handheld Link device, right? I can't imagine Knock Out would be to willing to let strangers in a strange land perform surgery, even just a software installation, on him or his partner, haha.
