A sad post

This is Saeru, one of the game mods.

About a month ago I disappeared on a trip to Hawaii, so if I haven't gotten to talk to you yet--hi! I wish I had better news for this post.

Two weeks ago I started a salary position at my job for 40 hours a week, leaving me virtually no time. This would have been much less of a problem if work hadn't also blocked plurk and dreamwidth both, preventing me from doing the mod duties I used to be able to do in during slow periods.

I wanted to see how things were going to go now before making this post, but after working for two weeks I've come to the conclusion that I no longer have the time necessary to devote to even the bare necessities of modship. I've talked with the other mods, and we are going to be making some decisions here very quickly about the new direction of this game. Stay tuned for a post.

It has been a pleasure sharing Re-Aligned with all of you, and I am very sad to have to go. ;-;

Go completely or just stepping down?

Either way, do what you need to. I completely understand bc I'm in the same boat - 40+ hour work week with a company where both DW n Plurk are blocked. I have my phone (for times like now), but it's a pain in the ass, plus you don't want to be caught "on your cellphone" all the time. :/

Sadly I'm going to be going completely--though the mod-post that recently went up may have made that more obvious. I'm going to be participating as much as I can in the end game by NPCing, but I don't know yet if my characters will stick around for it. I'm going to have them try!

I don't know how you manage it. o.o I can't seem to settle into the routine at all...though I think it doesn't help that my shifts are all in prime RP-time (from 3-midnight.)

If I couldn't access a personal email account at work . . . I wouldn't.  I'd have to drop out of formal games completely too.  I explained a little about that on your plurk as something you might explore if possible, and I'm MORE than happy to help if that's something you think you can and might like to try.  <3

Reply by email is, hands down, one of the best things (at least for me) that DW's put into place.  O.O  It's how I'm replying now, in fact.

It's a good question. Since we're moving into end-game I'm going to try to be around to help NPC and maybe to get some resolution for my characters. It's going to be hard for me for this first month because I'm also preparing to go to TFcon in July, but after that I'll be able to do a bit more.
