Rules & App FAQ Updates
Greetings, players! We've made some changes to our Rules page and App FAQ to make a few items clearer, including clarifications on limits for CRAUs and Canon characters in-game, as well as adding rules for AC exemptions. Please read under the cuts for further information:
---
RULES PAGE UPDATE
» Upon acceptance into the game, we ask players to put up an HMD (critique post) and make sure their character's application is publicly available. To make the requirement clearer, this information is now available on the official Rules page as well as in the acceptance notice. You can view the updated Rules page here.
Please make sure you have both of these items posted in your character journal(s).
---
APP FAQ UPDATES
» After reviewing the App FAQ, it was apparent to us that we had not made it explicitly clear whether or not CRAUs are allowed to be apped alongside their Canon counterparts in Re/Alignment. For the moment we have decided to allow ONE of either a Canon or CRAU version of a given character, with CRAUs required to not be significantly different from the canon character. (Meaning: 1 – The CRAU is in the same body as the character had in canon; and 2 – Personality and sample sections of the CRAU are still recognizable as the canon character being apped.)
» We've made the requirements for earning a fifth character slot easier to find.
» We've outlined our policy on app categories for avatar characters/malleable protagonists (e.g. Dragon Age 2's player character, Hawke.). If there is no true canon version of the character, we allow TWO Canon AUs in-game at once, provided they are not identical.
You can view the updated App FAQ here.
---
ACTIVITY CHECK EXEMPTIONS
» We've added solid guidelines for requesting an exemption from AC. In order to qualify for an exemption to the Activity Check, you must have posted a hiatus of 2 weeks or longer to the official hiatus page during the period covered by said Activity Check. You may not request back-to-back exemptions.
This rule will not go into effect until the next Activity Check, scheduled for January.
---
As usual, if you have any questions or concerns, please leave a comment here and we'll get back to you as soon as we can.
