PLOT ANNOUNCEMENT: The Second Wave
As the adrift attempt to settle and find some degree of normalcy, the Lambda above them glows malevolently as though their very existence brings it ire.
It pulses in slow, subtle waves. Light flickering from one end to the other, a nearly imperceptible current that only the critical - or watchful - eye can see.
The force behind it is not yet finished.
Not by a long shot.
On July 8th, the Second Wave will begin. What is the second wave, you ask? Well, you remember how all of you are marked by strange glyphs?...these new entrants /aren't/.
In various shapes and forms, from organic to synthetic to anywhere in between and still beyond, the only thing uniting them will be a single-minded urge to destroy. These are the forces of Unicron, and they have been directly sent to cause as much damage as they possibly can.
It's up to the Firstforged and the Refugees to stop them.
What's going to happen?
Short version - monsters invading. Most will be on the Junk Heap, some will fall on other parts of the Haven, and there will even be those that land /outside/ of it...either trying to get /in/ or just make their way far, far away. Specifically...to the Badlands.
What kind of monsters can we expect?
For some reason there'll be an awful lot of these guys, but other than that they'll vary in the extreme. While there will be no monsters (other than possibly the Sharkticons) that will be specifically recognizable by the PCs, you're welcome to describe them any way you choose - ex, robotic dragons. Scaled ones. Is that a gelatinous cube? In terms of size itself, they'll be in the range of 10-100ft.
How powerful are they?
The Glyphless will vary in power as much as they vary in looks - but they will all be dangerous. They will all be bloodthirsty. And the longer they stay here - the more powerful they'll get, further twisting and devolving in to horrendous creatures of chaos.
What will the Firstforged be doing?
It differs for all the Firstforged! Most will say those who don't want to fight should stay in the Haven-quadrants and wait it out, before going off to charge and fight off the beasts. They'll be taking care of the strongest ones, who would give any number of Refugees a run for their money. Other than that...their tactics will vary. But you can darn well bet they won't be idle. If you want to do some plotting with the FF, go ahead and contact them!
Also, we are currently working on a size reference chart, since there was some confusion as to the size of the Firstforged! Stay tuned to mod plurk or the mod sticky post.
